I thought the whole idea of samples was so you could form an opinion on a band.

Maybe get a general idea, but he is rating an entire album off of a couple clips.

I listen to samples too. If it's something that doesn't fit my taste, then I'll pass. But, I won't go around telling everybody that I didn't like the entire album. Why? B/c I wouldn't be educated enought to make such a statement. I could say, however, that I heard some samples and it doesn't sound like it's for me...

I still need to listen to this, btw.

I think it's a stretch for that too, but I'm dropping it, b/c Chris' review is now polluted with a flame war that isn't going anywhere.

Man am i late with my comments. But this is my first day here, and i have a lot catching up to do... This album is pretty good for it's genre, i usually don't prefer the new melodeath bands, but this is definitely one of the better of that kind in the last few years. I love their "beat it" version.
