Winds - Prominence and Demise

At this point, I don't think they'll ever put out a record that I'll like more than 'Reflections', but I do enjoy this one more than the last. It's more "metal" than the others too.

Just finished that for the first time. A big switch after MDN, but very good, less up-and-downy, if you know what I mean.

Mers De Nom has the better songs, 13th Step is too uneven.

You think? I'd say 13th Step flows much better as an album. Agreed that MDN has better songs individually, though, perhaps apart from Pet.

Should get 13th Step, loved Mer De Noms.

I'm listening to Alcest-Tir Nan Og athe the moment. The french make some damn good music don't they?

Songs like "The nurse who loved me", "Crimes" and "Lullaby" pretty much ruins it for me, they are simply boring to me. The only saving grace of the last 5 songs is "Pet", which is one of my favorites of the album along with "The Outsider" and "The Noose"

I love the really soft lullaby-ish songs on 13th step, they're really pretty and relaxing and they make the aggressive songs better

Thats just like saying bad songs make the songs after them sound better... of course they will, but doesn't make them extremely good either.

PsyOpus - Our Puzzling Encounters Considered

the more I listen to this album the more I think that it's the most flawlessly executed tech metal I've heard.
