The Axis of Perdition is a %50 chance just like BaN. At least BAN have The Work... which is recognized as an earth shattering masterpiece by many, which TAoP don't have in their discography.
I also don't understand what's so wrong about no pictures and no names, trying to remain obscure. How is is any different than any other black metal band in the universe that shoots videos but uses corpsepaint and stage names? I think that was a redundant part in the review. Why can DsO get away with it and these guys can't? For all we know Nicola Sarkozy and Stefan can be the guys behind both bands.
And I also happen to think their new website kicks ass. Just visit it. It's pure genius.
Having bitched at Zad so much I have to agree with the rest of the review. They should remember why everyone was surprised at the first listen when TWWTG came out. Continuing down this safe path will alienate fans.
I think Zad's point about the no names and pics is that without obscurity its just a bunch of dudes making some spooky music, so its all pretentious nonsense.
Although, Kathy brings up a good point about DSO.......*strokes beard*
FTR is right with the first part... corpsepaint and obscurity are all very well, but only if you can back it up with the music, which I don't think they can do any more. Fine, opinion, but at least DsO manage to progress between albums. Blut are very much sticking to a formula, a formula you either love or you don't. I don't.
