I can't imagine any album released in 2007 being better than this.

Try listening to another album released this year. :P

unless the other album is the new reverend bizarre then basically nothing else tops it :P

nah, Given to the Rising loses it's momentum in the middle with At The End of the Road (too long of an intro for too little of a song) / Shadow / Hidden Faces. Colors kicks major ass all thr way through.

At The End Of The Road does have too long of an intro, but Hidden Faces is awesome. :O

Now: Taake -- Bjoergvin

The only thing that bothers me with that album is that the singer won't shut up and let me enjoy their crazy time-sigs.

Yeah Hidden Faces isn't bad but the intro of at the end of the road, then the interlude shadow, then the intro to Hidden Faces kind of messes up the albums flow

That seems to be my problem too. Besides the fact I swear I've heard it before...

Really?, I'll have to give that one more try. I bought it because Metal Hammer said something about "Between two worlds often sounds like the best record of the year" which sounded good surrounded by all the hammerfall coverage and cell phone pornography ads. I picked it upand enjoyed the time shifts.

Thesinger (From immortal) sounds like Lemmy a little, but like, if Lemmy really got his voice together more.

So yeah, I guess i'll have to give it another listen.

The new Exodus I enjoy very much. Listened to it 3 times straight the other day.

As for none metal, Jon Lord - Sarabande is quite good.

Roadrunner United's.

It's really good. Some of the best metalcore I've ever heard, along with great efforts from Glen B and King Diamond.
