I am a fan of Meatloaf myself and must agree that it has a very distinct meatloaf feeling in it, but I can not recall any specific meat loaf track that it reminds me off. We have tons of powermetal clones that sound the same, however, I have not heard many bands playing bombastic rock tracks like Meatloaf, so it is not bad that Tobias also explores this genre and he does a hell of a job! Should Meatloaf happen to hear the track I'd expect Meatloaf to call Tobias straight away and want him to write Bat out of Hell 4, it's that good ;)

i think you expected a powermetal release, but got an amazing rock album and since you did not take it for what it was you really could not appreciate the with the respect it deserves. I think Lay all your love on me was the best track on Helloween's Metal Jukebox, but this blows that version away! Another angel down is the typical powermetal you'd expect from edguy, it's better than average, but it's nothing groundbreaking.

I am glad that tobias did not just play it safe, he decided to explore different styles and he sure the heck got it right when he made that bombastic meatloaf rocker. rock on :dio:

These two EPs make me quite disappointing actually....firstly, the title track is hands down one of the worst songs Tobias has ever written. I was simply baffled when I heard how uninspired that song sounds. Secondly, "Promised Land" is a killer song and should have been on the album, and "The Story Ain't Over" is simply made for the last spot on the album, instead of the title track which is sure as hell going to end the album on a low point. I still have high hopes for the new full-lenght though. :dio:
