I'm loving this CD. It's definitely their best effort in almost 20 years. I'm really impressed with it. :dio:

This is far more than just a collaboration with Desmond Child. Every song gives credit to at least one professional songwriter, usually more than one; and no song on the album has more than one Scorps member getting writing credit. This is a great album, but a true Scorpions album this is not. Only in name.

Haven't paid attention to Scorpions in a long time, but what I've heard from this sounds pretty damn good, but it does feel like Desmond Child wrote most of it yes. I totally dug that song "Kiss the Rain" that was popular about ten years ago or so (the performer escapes me), so he's definitely come up great stuff even after the 80's ended.

It's Desmond's concept, yes, but I don't know that he wrote most of it. There are a good number of songwriters here.

I am shocked how good this album is! There are no barn-burners on here, for sure, but it's as good of a collection of mid-tempo songs and ballads as has been released by ANY band in a long time.

There is not one song that's an immediate skip. There is some hook or redeeming melody in every one!

Very impressed. Klaus's voice is great too.
