It's pretty funny that an alt-rock band rife with pop overtones has so many people calling the prog. Coheed is one step to the left of Alien Ant Farm.

You talk tosh, Sir. In sound, perhaps you're right, in songwriting skill, no way.

So then Alien Ant Farm is a prog band, too? :lol:

Superficially, you berk, one could say that Alien Ant Farm and C&C sound alike. The vocalists sound similar, for a start. When you really get down and listen, they're quite different.

Were you saying this all along? Troll.

I think it would be pretty hard to listen to Coheed and Cambria (at least the album I've heard) and not hear some Pink Floyd and Rush so I don't think that calling them prog is that far off.

What are these new terms you're calling me? What's a berk? Didn't you call me a tosh earlier?

Anyway, yes, the vocalists sound similar, but also musically there is a strong resemblance as well. I really like Alien Ant Farm, and I'd probably really like Coheed if that dude's voice was just a little deeper. Still, both band do have a very solid alt-rock foundation, but where Alien Ant Farm plays that sort of quasi-prog stuff (i.e. odd time changes, etc.), Coheed takes it a bit further with songs that are longer.

I don't find either to be prog bands, of course. But I also don't think Coheed is very far off in terms of style. I just find it funny when so many people call them a prog band. Not being a troll; just not joining in on the lovefest.

Tosh = drivel
Berk = twit

I'd have thought you liked C&C. The vocalist put me off at first, too.

Predictable response. You need some new jokes, Douchey McChinless.

It's predictable, yes. But I'm sure it makes your balls sting.
