The album's good... Not as good as City of Evil (best metal album of 2005 imho) but still better than most metal related albums I've heard this year... A7X RULES ! :dio:

No, that was my proving how if you take his name apart it's a bit silly. Still spells it Shagrath that I know of.

As it happens, A7X have a quality that many metal bands seriously lack : they actually can make good songs... Now agreed, they look like poseurs but that shouldn't stop anyone from enjoying the music as most metal bands are poseurs anyway... Just check out you average Power/Black Metal band if you don't trust me... :wink:

Heh. Trouble is, there are a zillion bands out there that make good songs. I don't like A7X because they're posers, I don't like them because the singer's voice is too whiny and annoying.

No, I'm not. I do think they're a very good band (at least on their last two albums)... That doesn't mean I'm all for the trendy teenager's music, quite the opposite actually, but A7X gets my vote, along with My Chemical Romance and a (very) few others, as quality teenager-aimed music. :wink:

What a horrible song.

First of all I thought it was gonna sound like Queen 'I want to break free' such was the organ intro, then After 3 seconds of being amazed and thinking 'that thrash riff's not bad', he started to sing, making earlier thought null and void.

Then I noticed they've added a clear rip-off of SOAD's 'Prison Song' (well SOAD ain't around anymore, best to mop up some of their lost fans I guess :wink:

) followed by the thing that is truly unique to A7X i.e putting a pop-tastic power ballad in the middle of a 'thrashy song'. Ah well, on the bright side, without Avenged Sevenfold & co, I wouldn't have anything to hate with a passion...
