But something kept nagging about the rhythm section, and the sliding guitars, so I kept digging in my mind, until I think it clicked, especially with the cleaner production. I've always felt black metal's most unique aspect is the attitude of its sound, and Fas definitely has that attitude. I can see your comparison, though. I'd call it 50% black (Aspa's vocals, evil atmosphere and attitude), 50% tech-death (rhythm section). Some will disagree on the genre tag, but it is hard to deny that their sound has changed a lot from SMRC.
