I really dig this CD. I'd probably up the score to a 75 or 80. I just got it, though ($5 at CD Baby).

Those were my thoughts exactly when I first heard it but after a few listens, there's just not enough "substance" with the songs to make a real lasting impact. Loyal power metal fans will likely enjoy this purely for the sound alone. Carls' voice is downright irritating on a couple of tracks with the strain and off-key moments.....you notice that?
