Is fantastic. Impressive curriculum as well.

And hot as hell too!

If you had ANY musical knowledge you'd know that she's not goth. Fuck off, noodles. It's amazing that such a large forehead shields such a tiny brain.

Emilie Autumn is awesome! I hope she does a piano album (like Enchant) again someday. Her violin stuff (Victoriandustrial) is killer, but Enchant is the first I heard from her and it remains my favorite. I pulled that CD from the $2 bin many, many years ago. And yeah, she's hot.

Dethharmonic was cool. Besides that though, I've never heard her.

She went to Colburn and Indiana Music School. She plays Corelli's Folia perfectly. Shut up, noodles.

Anyway, I've been listening to Opheliac a lot, very good, but in light of what Ken just said I'll check out Enchant tonight.

Sorry for being mean to you, but you really just like to piss all over the things people have passion about. Whether or not you associate her with goths is irrelevant. She's not goth at all. She mixes classical with industrial with metal, and even techno. Then she busts out contemporary piano pieces. Saying she's something as simple as goth is like saying Devin Townsend is pop-rock.

The piano stuff:

Across The Sky
Castle Down
What If (Sounds like Tori Amos...actually has a part that sounds like Tori's "Pretty Good Year.")

The techno industrial weird stuff:

I Want My Innocence Back
Opheliac
Misery Loves Company

The violin and classical stuff:

Organ Grinder (Awesome...from Saw III)
Manic Depression (Another awesome instrumental)
Live Solo
A Cure

Not goth. Now take it back, noodles. Take it back!

I am underrated.

http://www.metalreviews.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4362

That's from 2005. Bastards! And I kept it real:

Quote:
Hahaha. She's not goth, she's actually a trained and quite skilled classical musician. She has a full-length which is very piano-based like Tori Amos and then three classical EPs, lots of violin. She covers some traditional classical pieces and has a bunch of her own compositions. She's excellent. Not goth at all.

:)

I didn't think you were being mean. Haha. The reason I brought her up ages ago is because I think a lot of you here would really dig what she does. It's very unique; it really is.

I listened well to Enchant and it's fantastic. Also, Laced Unlaced has some awesome instrumental pieces, including a great rendition of Corelli's Folia.

I'm shocked that Mr. Lint and I agree on something. Emilie Autumn is talented, her music is cool, and yes...she's hot!!

It is. I still need to buy the reissue of Enchant and A Bit O' This & That. She's gotten pretty popular lately, so she's done good by her fans and released some really cool things. But they've been expensive. Those two I just mentioned are like $39.99. And she has a new EP coming out next month.
