I've just seen there were no Raven cd reviewed here. There should, at least, be one for One For All or Rock Until You Drop !

While I agree 100%, I wouldn't hold my breath. I'm not even sure if there is a way to do that.

Ulver's "Nattens Madrigal" and Emperor's debut had their status changed to Classic, so it's definitely possible. If I'm not wrong someone contacted Mike (I think it was him) and he was able to change it.

I don't see the point... it is a great album, to be sure (I gave it a fucking 99, after all), but, it would merely be symbolic at this point... too many classics that need yet to be honored to bother with modifying existing reviews. Venom - Black fucking Metal, for one. Mercyful Fate - Melissa, for another.
But who am I to say... I just wrote the fucking thing.

Agreed. I mean, I could ask Mike to change old reviews to classics, but to me there are more important things to focus on, like reviewing other classics.

Yeah! Rock Until You Drop should at least be considered for an archive review.

Agree with motorhead and Raven...

And I'm sure I have said it a lot of times, but Angel witch self titled album is a classic. A great and underrated classic.

If that album isn't the next classic, it would be disrespectful to metal.

Looks like Metal's bruised and battered ego is about to get another dent, then.

I still have the second-hand tape of that one, though I have not listened to it in a helluva long time and the sound has gotta be very much deteriorated by now.
Definitely classic status.
Man, there needs to be a reviewer solely dedicated to classics / archives... there are so many albums that need mention, if only out of respect and honor, it would require someone committed only to classics. We've all heard them, yet, they still demand mentioning, somehow...
you guys ever think about recruiting a reviewer that would dedicate himself to classics and archives solely?
Just a thought.

I'm gonna disagree with that. There are a lot of "classics" that are mediocre albums but are influencial and full of enough nostalgia that they are added. Whether or not that is the point is pretty irrelevant I guess. Seriously, people are suggesting albums by Raven are masterpieces. In what universe. Angel Witch is still a timeless masterstroke of an album. The best NWOBHM album ever. I wouldn't even disagree that the first 7 maiden albums are classics, but stuff that a small consensus of people find "really good" doesn't cut it in my book.

I think All For One deserves to be a classic. Raven were one of the bigger bands of the NWOBHM.

Oh, and how has Bergtatt not been done yet?
