ALPHA GALATES GET BRUCE DICKINSON'S VOTE!
Canada's latest progressive metal export earns accolades from legendary IRON MAIDEN frontman during BBC Radio 6 "Rock Show" recording!
“Tool fans, pick up your ears! Alpha Galates' A STIMULUS FOR REASON is a real eye and ear opener!” - Bruce Dickinson, Iron Maiden.
The latest progressive metal act to explode out of the burgeoning Canadian music scene, Toronto's Alpha Galates show no signs of slowing down on the eve of the release of their crushing debut album "A Stimulus For Reason" (February 19th/EMI Music Canada).
And now, the fierce progressive metal 5-piece led by vocalist/drummer Matthew von Wagner have yet another notch in their collective belt…a nod from one of the undisputed legends of heavy metal, Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson.
"Tool fans, pick up your ears...Alpha Galates' "A Stimulus For Reason" is a real eye and ear opener!" commented Dickinson recently during a pre-recorded taping of his weekly "Rock Show" program on BBC Radio 6.
Dickinson went on to talk about Alpha Galates for several minutes before premiering '2 Months In', from the band's upcoming debut. Dickinson's stamp of approval couldn't be timelier after a glowing (and now somewhat ironic) review in this month’s BangBang Magazine hails Alpha Galates as "the illegitimate children of Iron Maiden."
Dickinson’s reference to Tool is also particularly fitting as Alpha Galates enlisted the help of Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age) to mix "A Stimulus For Reason". Alpha Galates fans can tune in to hear the entire segment TONIGHT (Fri.Feb.8) @ 5pm EST / 10pm GMT on Bruce Dickinson’s "ROCK SHOW" on BBC RADIO 6. Click HERE to stream online!
Stay tuned for more Alpha Galates news as they continue to take the metal world by storm! In the meantime, check out a kick-ass 15-second teaser for "A Stimulus For Reason" HERE
