This album seems to have fans very divided but I like it. I think they should have included the first track on the bonus cd on the main album it's that good.

If you're looking for an album that fuses traditional prog metal with a great sense of modern heaviness in an almost flawless soundscape, try the latest Symphony X album Paradise Lost instead.
That was somehow unnescesary

This was certainly a grower for me. It took me time to get into, but I've come to like it quite a bit. Not anywhere near the quality of their two earlier though.

I really like this CD. I've listened to it quite a bit since it was released. It's not as complex as Celestial Entrance or Infinity Divine but I do feel that it is a good natural progression from Enigmatic : Calling. The song structure seems a bit more accessible or dare I even say "radio-friendly"?

I think my choice of words was poor. It was like 4am when I wrote that. The songs sound a bit more simple/stripped down perhaps. There's still that proggy (I don't know if that's a legitimate adjective) feel to the music just less of it. Does that make any damn sense? :P

Yeah I see what you mean=) And i agree. Then again I think it sounds more heavier in some parts.

This is an excellent album either way you turn it. Casual listeners will have something to complain about and Marty described those "flaws" perfectly. I, as a PM fan, was able to overlook most of these shortcomings and enjoy the album. Where the vocal effects worked on Through Osiris' Eyes fail here, especially on what I consider the worst song - Atomic Firelight. I'd prefer the bonus song Shine Eternally in its place. I don't understand why they left such a great song as a bonus.
