I can't believe I've never heard of these guys. I'm actually pretty disappointed this review couldn't have been put up yesterday so I could have these tunes playing for St Patrick's day.

These guys always seemed like an also-ran Dropkick Murphies to me, I'll have to try them again.

Yeah, I've always thought they were good, but just haven't gotten around to buying an album.

Excellent album, at least 9.5/10 from me. Almost as good as Drunken Lullabies. Too bad they didn't play any of their songs in the pub yesterday, not while I was there anyway.

Was all set to pass on this . . . even a loose comparison to the Dropkick Murphy's is a turnoff for me---being from Boston, their Red Sox connection, etc., they are just beaten to death and are too much of a bandwagon, trendy act around here. And I just never cared much for their music.

Then you said Dave King . . . not a name I at all expected to hear in conjunction with this type of band and suddenly I sat up in my chair. His pedigree and history going back to the underrated classic that was Fastway's debut album give this band a completely different context for me---even if his singing style here and the band are nothing like that.

Definitely checking this out now.

Bloody hell, it's Dave King from Fastway? I always thought they just happened to share a name.

Ashamed. Never hear of this band, and I'm a big The pogues fan :(

I'll buy the album.

This is a pretty good album. It's fun to listen to and all that and the vocals are amazing. But personally I would grade this around 85.

Fantastic album, other recommendations are Drunken Lullabies.

But 100/100 is still... too high.
