I won it at work!! I haven't played one yet, and who knows how long it'll actually take before I get it. BUT I WON!!!!



What games should I get?

You shouldn't get any games. You should send it to me.

I've only played Super Mario Galaxy, but it's awesome. Highly recommend it.

Although, I think a good first game would probably be Legend Of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I played the GameCube version, and it's great.

Of course, since the Wii comes with Wii Sports, you may not need to immediately buy any games for it right now anyway.

Congratulations man! Anyway, the four holy games to get are:

Some other fun games:
No More Heroes (fulfilling your sword swinging, blood gushing needs)
Medal of Honour Heros 2: FPS, great controls and online multiplayer
Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (for an RPG)
Scarface: Kind of like GTA, but more plot based
Zack and Wiki: Fun and extremely challenging point and click adventure game

Okami has also recently been ported to the Wii, and I'm excited to finally try it. Mario Kart Wii is also out pretty soon.

the new Mario Kart looks very cool, as does Okami (check out the video review at IGN).

Mario is usually a must with Nintendo games, as is Zelda. So I think I will start there. Plus you say Mario Kart??? I think I'll wait till that bitch comes out too.


And yeah Zad, I win a bunch of shit at work. March and April have been really good months for me. I am a banker, loan officer, whatever you want to call it. Sometimes I really hate my job, but when I win shit like this it makes me forget how much I hate my job.

The only games that are even halfway decently made are all Nintendo made. The third party support for the system is ass.

If I were you I'd trade it in at Gamestop towards a more worthwhile console.

Don't listen to dem folk like Evil Dead. Wii doesn't have nearly as many quality third party games as X Box 360, but it does have a fair amount, and some of them are really excellent and worth getting. Though I'm still pissed Wii didn't get Call of Duty 4, especially since Nintendo got the first three and Wii had 3, and since 4 is actually supposed to be really good.

There's no way the Wii could run CoD4.

They'd have to make some bastardized version of it that wouldn't be up to par with the actual game. Meaning an entirely new development.

Well, thats the problem. You need to diminish the graphics, which to me isn't exactly making it not on par with the other consoles- the Wii can still get some beautiful graphics going on when it wants, as Metroid Prime 3 and Mario Galaxy show, and the lack of graphical power would be compensated with controls that would hopefully match Medal of Honour 2: Heroes, or better. But you're right that the Wii does sometimes require a completely seperate development team- a pain in the ass for many developers. Still, its nice when folks like Lucasarts do give us stuff that other consoles are getting, like the new Star Wars Force Unleashed game.

Nintendo has my heart.

The Wii is far superior to the PS3 and on par with the 360 in terms of games and entertainment value, but is definitely the forerunner in terms of innovation. Mario Kart Wii will come with a steering wheel. You won't have to pay $150 for it either, unlike the XBOX one. The fact that the Wii-mote is so versatile is just utterly amazing.

Also, graphics don't always make a game. Look at Assassin's Creed. Yes, a beautiful game indeed, and an awesome story, but God, why God do I have to do the same missions over and over and over and over?

I know 4 ppl who have had wii's and sold them coz they are pretty dull (i mean the wii not my mates lol). Your dreaming if you think the the ps3 is worse and that its only as good as a 360, both the ps3 and the 360 are much better. I agree with evil dead.

Sell it. Outside of Brawl it's pretty much a worthless system and I can't stand the motion control. Nobody I know still plays their Wii. Hell I'd take a PS3 over a Wii because even the PS3 has a better games library.

You're kidding right :|? The PS3 has about 3 worthwhile games, the Wii has a good 20 or so.

Agreed. I dont want to bash the PS3- it does have good games, definitely more than three. But the Wii is a very worthwhile system as well, with lots of fun single player and multiplayer games. Don't listen to the playa haters.
