I don't want to be a party pooper, but why do people feel the need to attract attention to get "Happy Birthdays" ? Does it actually make you and your ego feel better in some sort of weird way ? Shouldn't it be up to others to wish you happy birthday without you requesting it ? This just makes you look like an attention whore.

Of course, you've missed the thread where everyone posts the date of their birthdays so that people can wish them a h.b when it comes around. Perfectly forgiveable.

So... in total, I got about 3 cakes today at school, brownies, coconut cookies, cheesecake at home, honey-chili chicken...

I guess it makes people feel better. At least that's what it's like for me.
