I think he meant "hitting" in the sense of "having sex with."

Common parlance: "I'd hit that." ("I find that individual to be sexually attractive and would like to express my desire to engage in fornication with them.")

I try not to piss them off in general. I've forgotten all the Spanish that I knew in my childhood, and now can only muster the likes of 'gringo' and 'cerveza' and 'cabron' and 'puta', which aren't the best things to say when dealing with an angry Mexican gentleman.

"White beer bastard whore" should be someone's title.
