okay, but you have to admit that it is rather surprising that a country like Iran have black metal considering the consequences of what might would have if the government knew who they were. Anywho, yeah, it's kinda weird that Jamaica doesn't have metal music, considering the fact they have "open" boarders, if you know what i mean, they have the same access to infomation as the rest of us. Furthermore, the population counts 2,7 million ppl and they have one the highest murder rate in the world, so in teory there should at least be one angry guy - more they are more gansta.
I'd at least expect some sort of Brujeria-type Yardie Metal band... that's actually an awesome idea, someone should put one together.
Rastafarian Black Metal? Are there actually any Reggae/Metal bands out there? Apart from Soulfly and Skindred, you know... ones that aren't shit. I bet Justin Broadrick could do something good with it.
As for Iran, it is surprising, but then it's always been interesting that Metal, and extreme metal especially, is far more the province of educated westerners than it is working classes or people in repressive countries that, you know, actually have something to be pissed off about.
