I don't know if this has been discussed here yet but Lala.com has introduced a great new digital music experience. You can listen to full songs ( in their entirety for sampling purposes) once, you can pay $.10 to listen to them indefinitely via your computer (online), or you can download the song for $.89 and share it or place it any device you want. This would be absolutely free of any sort of file restrictions being attached to the music file. Plus they give you 50 free online songs up front. What's also a great feature is that the files are in a variable bit rate that varies from 192 kbps to 320 kbps, however the files average at 256kbps.
Should ITunes consider shifting it's current business model? Well, if this works out well for Lala.com then ITunes should be very concerned in the future.
Check it out and post your comments about what they're offering.
