lumpy production

...Hahahaha. Lumpy.

I sampled this one on The End Records, and I fucking loved the sound of it. Didn't strike me as doom at all, actually. Will buy this when I have the munnies!

they've definitely got doom there, but it ends up making them sound like evil 70s rock. and they're organs not synthesizers

I agree, just because they want to call themselves metal (their myspace page) doesn't make it metal. I find the reviewer's description much more appropriate.

I listen to them a while ago when i found they had a split with my favorite doom band ever "Pagan Altar", and i really liked the music but girls singing metal is not really my cup of tea, but anyway this band is good.

Haha, yeah that's the only Jex Thoth I've heard too. It was decent but didn't really make me want to go searching for more. By the way, I haven't forgotten my promise of a Pagan Altar review either. In fact, it might be coming VERY soon.

the split with Pagan Altar is odd, i didn't like "Stone Evil" when i heard it on it's own, but put at the end of this album i really like it.

Metal Archives said synths. It's not like they can't reproduce organ-ic sounds or anything.

So, Pagan Altar split... worth checking out?
