why not, maybe because I'm not of those people who claim that they can hear paintings, and smell colours (not paint).

I don't like music, it makes me think I'm hearing things.

So you don't have synesthesia then. How mad is that! I wonder if you stick them in a room with horribly clashing colours it sounds like a horrible dischord to them. "THAT COLOUR SCHEME SOUNDS AWFUL!"

I think music simply wakes me up. Adds a bit of chaos and variation into a monotonous day and also enlivens up anything.

Music is just another art form, like literature and others, which can cause emotional reactions, while being much more accessible than painting. Nothing can energize like music. Music is the greatest thing to have accompany you when you are trying to be alone. Something like that anyways.

Because I like pleasure and music pleasures me, much like an audio prostitute.

I like music because it sounds like music, and the thought of music sounding like it does thrills me.

Like Beethoven said: "Music is above all philosophy and wisdom."

Because it's super cool. Don't really have an explaination. I can't think of anyone that just out-and-out hates music. I don't think it's possible to hate it.

because it takes less attention to enjoy than movies and books. and the idea of communicating feeling without words or context is teh cool.

I enjoy music for the same reason I enjoy everything else. I don't. Or rather, I haven't for a very long time. It's a distraction to be enjoyed on its technical and creative merits, but I don't get any real enjoyment from it. And one of my favourite people in the world despises music to the point where he apparently has never listened to it of his own accord.

cause it sounds purdy.

For real, I like it just because of how different songs affect me in different ways.

Music affects my mood in many ways. It's an art.

Because I'm an addicted.
I need music, I need it Now!

And also because "composers do not cry, composers are made of fire!" That man was the first fucking metalhead.

I like music because it can set your mood and it doesn't take a lot of effort to enjoy. music is one of the most influential art forms ever created

I know a guy who claims to dislike all music.

I emphasize the word "claim" because I just can't believe a statement like that is true. Besides which, he's a fucking asshole that no one likes, and he probably just says that to piss people off.

If he's lying though, he's making a huge effort of it. He's been insisting literally for years, since we were still at school. He says there is not one type of music he's ever heard that he's fond of.

Anyway, the point is I know someone who at least claims to not like any form of music, so I guess it could theoretically be possible.
