How did this not get reviewed here last year?

Anyway, the best album of 2007 hands down and also one of my favorites ever. Like the reviewer said it will be very hard to top this. They should really quit before pulling a St. Anger on us.

I actually like the Bungle interludes. They're so blatant, silly, and clumsily executed that they just seem to inflate the self-indulgent nature of the music that much more.

This album still blows my mind. It's relentlessly Progressive. I just love that.

Oh noes it's metalcore the elitists are going to get angry now

Seriously BTBAM are probably one of the better metalcore bands out there and this proves it with this album.

I finally got my hands on this. I like it a lot, but it isn't as good as I thought it would be. A friend of mine told me Alaska is better. Is he right in saying so?

Not in my opinion. Alaska is a lot more chugga-chugga style Metalcore. It's a lot more disjointed too. It's got some cool moments, and Selkies is an amazing song, but it's not too great of an album.

yeah, also i love how they break into totally intense sections, like the guitar soloing that the country part builds up to or the "TORN TO HIS LAST LIMBS" part in "Prequel"

Huy, you really need to give it another shot because I know that every single person here hated this album at first but grew to love it.

Even me. Although I don't recall hating it. I just thought it wasn't anything special.

I <3 this. I don't have a problem with any of the weird stuff they do, in fact they're one of the main reasons why I love this album...it wouldn't be Colors if it didn't have the saloon part or the Mr. Bungle breakdowns or the eastern-style part at the beginning of Informal Gluttony. And also, to me, this will always be more progressive metal than metalcore...unlike everyone else, I was blown away the first time I heard it because I had never heard anything so Dream Theater-like that was also heavy and had growly vocals (Opeth is progressive and has growls, but they're not as heavy as BTBAM and they don't remind me of DT at all). Sometimes, I feel like I don't like it as much because it's just so much and difficult to listen to, but I always come around. One of my favorites ever.

I'unno about you all, but I loved it from the word go.... well, actually I remember hearing "Decade Of Statues" before and being put off by how masturbatory it was, but I heard people praising it, gave it another shot, and bought it the next day. Proceeded to have my brain fucked out.
