JFAC is a pretty talented band, with no soul whatsoever, but still their albums are not all crap. Unlike bands like Bring Me The Horizon...

I have seen both live at a festival, JFAC where atleast entertaining and the vocals where pretty sweet at times but BMTH where out of time and just terrible. Especially their 4 foot 2 singer who weighs about 8 stone acting tough guy, "LETS SEE A FUCKING VIOLENT PIT MUTHAFUCKAAAAS!".

I saw JFAC on Gigantour and they were pretty good. Maybe its just because i like their doom ep, but they were pretty brutal.

Think it's just a case of "people that aren't cool and br00tal listen to them, thus they must be gay" when they're at least tolerable.

there's another track on their myspace, Anoint the Dead, and it's also pretty cool.

also "dinner time", where some guy mouths off about Cryptopsy becoming Emo.

i trust the general opinion of the forum, though, so i'll approach this one carefully.

I don't know. I find them to be just bland and unoriginal. Genesis lost most of the hardcore elements but replaced them with bits everyone's already heard before done by better musicians.

I've found the vocals at the beginning of The Plagued are the worst on the whole album.

Zad I thought you sort of kind of liked this album? Was that you just trying to convince yourself all the early reviews were wrong before the awfulness of this finally obliterated your resolve?

I'v never listened to Cryptospy before this release, so I can say with certainty there was no fan-level expectation when I heard it round at my friend's the other week there.

We managaed around 6 or 7 songs before it just had to go off. So, so bad.

Yes, I tried so, so hard when it first came out. I'd loved the band before, and it took some convincing that all the Metal Archive WOMFG THIS IS WORSER THAN ST ANGER!!111 reviews were wrong. Alas, they weren't.

Have you heard it yet? It's laughably bad.

not sure if i even want to hear it now.

I trust zad in reference to cryptopsy so the only thing i would listen to it for would be to satisfy my own curiousity.
