That's not metalcore, it's crossover. Differant interpretation on it all together.

Agreed. Metalcore has limp breakdowns and choruses that sounds like someone is being castrated mid-sentence. Right?

Well Municipal Waste is a mix of Hardcore and Thrash, metalcore is a mix of hardcore death metal heavy metal and other shit... At least that's how i see it.

So Metalcore its not just an attempt to put hardcore in to metal, otherwise crossover would be metalcore, i honestly havent listened to much metalcore so i cant actually define the genre but i hear a lot of people bashing it just because it has hardcore elements like it was so untrve or something, while in reallity hardcore and metal have been feeding on eachother since the 80s.

I wonder, for most of you :

How old were you when Dirt came out?

I think that the perception of such a great album can be very different depending of when we first heard it.

I was 14 when I heard it for the first time in 1993. I remember that it rocked so much and 15 years later, it's still very good and fresh.

What. Def Leppard and Aerosmith aren't even that good. They're just fucking overrated.

didn't say they were shit...

BUT, Def Leppard, GNR and Aerosmith, when i was 13-14 years old, were popular with GIRLS, mostly Def and Aero later stuff.

AIC have more to do with heavy metal than grunge. Songs like Bleed the freaks, We die young, Dam that river, Them Bones, Sickman, Again...

Anyway, to each his own I guess but I still think that AIC deserve more respect, musically speaking.

I guess so, but some gigs do tend to turn into a pure sausage fest so women are welcome.

Most of the women that show up, though, you do not want.

That, or they're there with their boyfriends.

That's true, because as a general rule, the vast majority of women have shitty music taste and what they listen to tends to depend on what their boyfriends are. I've seen one girl go from listening to Dimmu to the Pussycat Dolls after she got a new, non metal boyfriend.

Then again I know a girl whos stunning and listens to Megadeth and Machine Head. Not exactly kvlt stuff, but still cool. Her boyfriend listens to all gay emo shit (well, A7X etc.) and she gives him shit about it, which is cool.
