Ok so I have a new ipod because my iRiver died on its arse after three years.

But, there are a few tracks where it always skips forward to the next one at around the same point. Only one or two discovered so far but I haven't listened to everything I put on it so there could be more.

I have the latest version of everything
I have reset the ipod and done everything again
I have re-imported the tracks from CD
the tracks themselves play fine on cd and in itunes itself after being imported

What is the deal? Anyone have any ideas? Is the ipod just fucked?

really? mine does that too. after i recharge it through the computer or power socket it's ok, but after a while it starts skipping songs again.

how old is it? mine was purchased in 2004 or 2005.

It's brand new, I got it for my birthday on the second of this month.

I actually managed to fix it (apparently) by converting the files to mp3... They must have been imported as m4as or something, although I don't know how that happened because nothing else did.

Anyway, I'm still having some problems... everytime i play DsO's Fas Ite... it just scrolls through the whole album and back to the menu.

Strange the same thing happens for me with DsO... I guess it is too unholy for the gay iPod.

My Ipod always skips a few of my Skinless songs (the better ones ofc), and lately it's pausing without me doing anything. I think it's a bug in the "stop-the-music-when-the-headphones-unplug" function. Anyone else have this problem?

Whenever mine does that I just re-import the songs onto the pc and then re-transfer them onto the ipod.
