i'm tired of these bands. if they list SYL, they probably list Meshuggah and Fear Factory.

it's fucking boring, and i hate that "spacey" feeling that they try to achieve. also the meshuggah-like weird rhythm shit, drop it, it may be original but i'll be damned if it works right.

õnly two bands ever got that right, SYL and Fear Factory. SYL were mind-numbingly fast and when they got "spacey" it was never boring and somehow it still sounded intense, FF sounded all mechanical and stuff and it worked well too.

be original or get lost.

I wasn't too impressed by this either. Fear Factory has done what Sybreed is trying to do a lot better and it's not all that interesting to begin with. Though, granted, it is slightly original I just don't find it all that interesting to listen to.

There is something that I will never understand!!!!!! Hey men, you should give a chance to this band!!!!!! Sybreed guys as far as I know are young and it's their first CD. And something that I know the guitarist produced himself this album so I will say. Good job for a first try and I'm looking forward to the next one guys.

but why does this sound more like Spineshank than SYL? I thought i was gonna be bombasted by crunchy guitars and punishing drums, something "City" does to me every time. instead i hear radio metal. what the fuck? i was really misled by this review, and that is probably a first.

Yes ok you're desapointed, but it's your taste, everybody think differently. On my side I bought the CD and I won't give it away.

But saying Metal Radio, ah ah ah, will you compare them to Bon Jovi, Nikel back and evanescence ????? No I don't think so ......

What will you say about Mnemic tho ????? Are they metal radio as well as a lot of people compare Sybreed to Mnemic ????????????????

Slave Design is amasing album!!!
you all have to know that those guys are so fucking young and that this is their first album...
production is awesome, one of the best I heard last few years, vocala are so diverse and far more better than that lame Fear Factory one, creativity of this lads is unique and can stand shoulder to shoulder with some of Devin's releases... great future is ahead of Sybreed...
and that "they sound too Syl or Meshuggah" is totally primitive... that means that no band should have their way of playing similar music and we all have to wait for Devin Townsend demise and than maybe let some other guys to continue his work...

There ARE crunchy guitars and punishing drums. Turn it the fuck UP on the stereo, and you'll hear them.

If you don't, you have a shitty stereo.
