It's worth mentioning that since I took the offending GIF down, there really is no more issue here. I also think it's worth mentioning that the forum essentially belongs to the site, and really have the right to issue any rules they wish.

While I agree with you about the first part, a forum is nothing without its members regardless of who it belongs to. If they implement rules that the majority of the board disagree with then chances are that they will leave, and the forum will, at worst, die, or at best fall into disrepute.

All this time spent here, even before I wrote multiple reviews a week, and the first time I mention the simple fact that donations are non-existent I get crucified? Fuck off, the lot of you. I joined MR for the bands and those labels too small to warrant large attention, I do my damned best to highlight interesting releases each week, and even so people are too involved in Helheim to notice. This forum has been lowering in quality for ages, the sooner something snaps and we get a change the better. I'm sorry Stefano's gone, I'm sorry Kenneth's gone. Neither of them are my fault, they're yours. Grow the hell up, the lot of you, and try to realise that there's more to contributing to a site than posting in a forum.
