a news show in Portugal invited over an analyst who said Hillary wouldn't even be invited for VP because she voted for the Iraq War, one of Obama's main trumps. is this true?

Well, its true that she voted for the Iraq War, but so did a lot of Dems. We were all lied to by Bush and his cronies. Had Obama been a senator back then, he probably would have voted for it too.

If she doesn't get the VP nod, that won't be the reason. Read this article:

http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080604/pl_nm/usa_politics_obama_vicepresident_dc;_ylt=ApLJRtFCtXug4b6lLRVZYuth24cA

I don't think he'll pick her because he may be thought of as the third wheel with her and Bill back in the White House. He'll pick one of the others so it will be clear he is the focal point and leader.

I'd like to see him pick Wesley Clark or Tom Daschle but that's just me.

U.S. Senator from Arizona, John McCain scolds a young Vietnamese boy holding his hat to beg from the U.S. Senator, as McCain walks along the Truc Bach lake in Hanoi Thursday April 27, 2000. McCain earlier gave the boy money but lost his temper and told him to go away when the child asked a second time for a handout. McCain was pulled out of Truc Bach lake by Vietnamese on the shore after his war plane was shot down over Hanoi, Vietnam in October of 1967 and he consequently spent more than five years asa P.O.W.. How on earth could anyone vote for such a cruel and horrible man?

I'm sure glad I'm not on the wrong end of that finger wagging.

I've changed my vote to McCain. He really seems to have more on the ball than Obama IMO.

Which is why he is running a smear campaign? The man has shifted all of his policies more to the right in order to receive the diehard republican votes; he most likely won't stick to that once he's in office so you have to take what he says with a grain of salt. In all seriousness, it would literally be four more years of Bush and c'mon does anyone want that?

8pm Saturday they are having their first debate I believe.

He can't distinguish between the warring factions in Iraq (gets his shiites and sunnis mixed up, has no idea who's fighting who), talked about the Iraq-Pakistan border (owch), made terribly rude jokes about Chelsea Clinton, made scathing, mean comments about Obama ("he would rather lose a war in order to win a political campaign", can you imagine the shitstorm if Obama said that about McCain??), likes to sing "Bomb-bomb-Iran" to the tune of Barbara Ann, declared on CBS that Iraq was the first major conflict after 9/11 (what happened to Afghanistan, genius??), is gonna start feeling his alzheimers in a year ot two, and will probably die on us before his presidency is out (but not before invading Iran!).

Some of those are simple mistakes but you also forgot that he offered his wife to partake in a wet t-shirt contest/banana swallowing contest at Sturges Bike week and he attributed the Anbar Awakening, the ultimate reason why the surge is kinda succeeding, to being after the surge when it wasn't.

He claimed Obama had no foreign experience, despite touring Africa, since he'd never been to the Middle East. Then when Obama does go to Europe and the Middle East, he is acting like a diva because Europeans actually like him as an intelligent, peaceful, liberal candidate.

He has no plan to lower the deficit and misconstrues Obama's tax policy repeatedly. He's even said it himself that he doesn't understand the economy. He doesn't understand that raising taxes is how to pay back the debt we've built up with this war or create a solid healthcare plan and anything else that Obama wants to create to make the burden on American families smaller.

Not to support McCain or anything, but making rude jokes about Chelsea Clinton is hardly a negative.

He picked a woman with two year of experience. Maybe he is trying to court disheartened fans of a certain candidate. What a fucking gimmick.

McCain is pandering to the disenfranchised Hillary voters. Sarah Palin has no national experience at all. So, if McCain at 72 years of age dies while he's president of the US we'll have a woman with no national political experience running our country. Wow, that's a sobering thought.

Her past work experience before becoming a small Alaskan town mayor and a 2 year governor of Alaska : she was a commercial fisherwoman and a sports reporter. She holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Idaho in journalism and a minor in political science. She's also a beauty pageant winner.

And they have the nerve to criticize Obama for having little experience. Palin was chosen to appeal to Hillary voters, preach to the voters that Alaska's oil reserves should be tapped and that she endorses the idea of doing so.

God forbid we really take major steps to get away from oil.

^My biggest complaint. I could've at least tolerated Romney.

Palin is already pandering/flip-flopping:
A bill was going through Alaska's house with earmarks which would build an expensive larger bridge to an island of less than 100 (or something like that) rich people, a "bridge to nowhere". She claims to have opposed it in her inaugural speech but she’s on record supporting it.

Fox News tried to portray her proximity, in Alaska, to Russia as foreign policy experience. In an interview a month ago, she said she wouldn't accept a VP spot until someone explained what a VP did.

McCain forgot how many houses he owns :D
But that's actually really sad, considering he might be our next president.

Okay... I have one question. McCain is a republican. Bush is a republican. McCain supported Bush in 90% of his decisions. USA has gone to shit with George W. Bush. Why McCain? I'm really just curious.

Americans love Jesus and so does McCain. Some people don't understand how bad of a state we are in or they think it will get even worse with more socialist-esque plans which Obama would want to create. Lastly, some people don't feel that Obama is experienced enough with only three years in the senate and seven before that in the state legislature and his lack of experience will ruin our country even more.

I feel it's time for a new generation to take the wheel. Whats the worst that could happen? It's not like you can sink alot deeper now. Isn't scary to imagine that a 80-yearold may run your country sometime? If he wins both this and the next election of course.

They're damn scary aren't they? That's the kind of blind US ignorance that I'm talking about. These people are superstitious nutjobs!!!

Oh, BTW, Ms. "family values", Sarah Palin, her 17 year old daughter is currently ranking with Britney Spears and her sister. Yes, she's pregnant. These people had better not start spouting their family values rhetoric. As for Mr. John McCain, I welcome anyone to do some digging on his past. He's an asshole. He couldn't keep his junk in his pants when he was married to his first wife and he divorced her once he realized she had been physically "altered" after 23 surgeries due to a horrific car accident that she was in while he was in Vietnam. He applied for the marriage license to marry his current wife before had received the official divorce from the 1st wife.

Great guy!!
