But it's Slipknot, for goodness' sake, if not for the masks and costumes and nine members they'd have faded into nothing years ago. Therefore, that stuff is relevant.

1 + 2. I think that the new, more riffy style they're playing is trendy because that's what's popular now, not groove or nu-metal riffs like were trendy back in the day. I disagree that the s/t was more Death Metal than later albums, I disagree that Iowa was more Metal, I disagree that 3 had poorer songs. This is all my opinion you're attacking me on!

3. Fine.

4. The hype was that this was their most Metal album. I answered that hype. And there was plenty of musical discussion in the review, thankyouverymuch, and I was very specific.

Also Pantera>>>>Slipknot, whatever your opinion of Pantera is in context of all metal.

I completely agree with you Zad, in that now since the in thing is metalcore, their first single is Psychosocial which is pure metalcore. BTW, are there any acoustic passages on the album, cause a while ago Mick Thompson got a signature acoustic guitar with that gay fucking 'seven' inlay that he used to ruin a perfectly good Ibanez.

...what?

People are taking the person who says this seriously?

Yeah, I think "Alien" sounds like "wisconsin death trip"

Are you trying to say "WDT" sounds more like staind, cold, ect. because it doesn't.

I didn't mind this album. There are some dud tracks, though most are decent, and a few greats (Psychosocial, Dead Memories and the title track).

75/100

Static-X sounds more like a severely retarded Fear Factory playing Coal Chamber songs. Apart from distorted guitars and samples, I don't see any comparison between Static-X and Strapping Young Lad.

For what it's worth, Zad, I thought this was a perfectly fitting review of an incredibly sub-par album by an amazingly overrated band. That is all.
