Well, this review makes me feel like giving up on this band for good. After an awesome debut album in Spirits and August Light, the band released the godawful Years in Waste and the mediocre Stuck Here on Snake's Way... and now this? No thanks, I'll pass.

It's a shame... talent down the drain.

I'd give this score to their Years In Waste album and rate this one 10 points higher. I have to admit I like them much more with their new singer and I think Stuck Here On Snake's Way is the best they've done so far though they haven't strayed much from that path with The Redshift. This album starts to lose points after the title track with the last four songs have more of a filler quality. Omnium Gatherum maybe aren't the best melodeath band but their last albums have been more enjoyable to me than the latest from the big names like Soilwork, Arch Enemy or In Flames.

After Years In Waste I gave up... I didn't think they were even around, much less releasing this album and another after Years.

I'll pass.

I just listened to the actual album and... well, it's not bad at all. It's actually good and it's what they should have released after Spirits...

Evil Dead, if you're like me and gave up on them after the terrible Years in Waste, you might want to at least check this one out. It's actually good melodeath and I definitely agree with PyroMan about enjoying this album more than the latest In Flames and Soilwork (although I'm one of the few who have The Chosen Pessimist as a guilty pleasure... but can't stay about Arch Enemy, haven't listened to them after Wages.. and it's not 'cause of Angela.. it's just I don't really like them).

I may actually buy this album, at least for the first 7 songs (I do feel the last few songs are not up to par with the first half).
