Interestingly, if you look at some really old paintings of Jesus (albeit from years after the ascension), you'll notice that he was sometimes portrayed as having shorter hair and no beard at all (this, however, may be before many artists took into account how Jews typically looked during his time - which is where the generally accepted visual image of Jesus stems from). Many also believe that the actual position of Jesus on the cross was a little different than how it's often portrayed (for example, one of his arms is believed to have been bent a little to cut off circulation).

This is something I've thought about before. Isn't the normal reaction when someone comes back from the dead after three days to grab the shotgun and blow his head off? How can we know that Zombie Jesus wasn't after peoples' brains? Perhaps Bruce Campbell was there to stop him.
