This is the only Witchfinder album I've heard. When I first heard this, I was caught off guard since I was expecting modern doom metal but after a few listens it clicked and am now enjoying it. It has more in common with NWOBHM than doom but you can't definitely tell how doom was influenced by this album. I just recently got a hold of it but it's been staying on my playlist for the past few months.

"No Stayer" is an awesome song! Their sound definately did not fit there name as at times they sounded like more of an 80's hair metal band. It's an album I've had on my MP3 player for the last few months.

I can't get into doom metal. I downloaded Black Sabbath's S/T and Dopethrone by Electric Wizard but I can't seem to make it through a whole listen of either. Maybe I should just go straight to Reverend Bizarre, since everyone is so enamored with them...

Excellent review Adam, Death Penalty is such a great album definitely deserves to be a Classic, Friends of Hell is great too but Death Penalty is my Favorite.
