A good effort from a great band. Almost as good as The Merciless but falling a bit short, IMO. I do enjoy the fact this one seems to have a slower pace. But this is the band that released the awesome Black Thrash Attack!

I'm not big on thrash, honestly. But when I do listen to bands that have some trash elements in them, it mostly comes back to this band and adding Merciless, Skeletonwitch and The Crown (although these are more death than black).

Last but not least is another black/thrash outfit, Occult (now called Legion of the Damned and shifted from black to a death-ish sound I don't like as much). Any fan of blackened thrash needs to hear Occult's "Elegy For the Weak". Awesome black/thrash assault! :dio:

Fucking cool album from a fucking cool band. My favourite would be The Stalker, with its chorus you can really shout out to as with Ace of Spades.

Been into this kind of music lately.. This sounds pretty good. I think the vocals may take some time getting used too tough.

Well, if you can take kvlt black, this shouldn't be a problem for you. The vocals are quite raw and raspy (at times reminiscent of a less eviscerated Marco Kehren (ex-Bethlehem, Deinonychus)) but you get used to them. When you get past it, this is a great band.

Another recommendation then: Tyrant - Reclaim the Flame.

Man, I totally forgot that band! It's been a while since their last album... Phoenix Rising kicks so much ass! :dio:

Great album!

It seems to get better as it goes along... most of it is pretty mid-paced and then the last three tracks rip your face off.
