Indeed, this debut album is promising. It was a great surprise for me and a great pleasure to listen to it.
My musical youth was made of Vangelis and J.M. Jarre among other things. And this band gathers Metal and epic keyboard playing.
Unusual and uncommon, this is fresh and innovating : forget Ayreon, Rammstein, Nightwish, Arcturus or Therion, a new era is born.
The limits of preexisting Metal had been broken. A new cross over frontiers : being musically openminded is required.
I look forward to their second opus with a more matured sound and a more important role of electric guitars.
Congratulations mister Thanasis Lightbridge ! 87/100
(65/100 seems severely quoted in comparison with the lastest albums for example of Kamelot (94/100)
or Paradise Lost (95/100 which are ... all but not innovating or interesting).

when I read the review I thought this could be an insteresting formula and, well, it's not bad but not up to my expectations....

I think there could have been more modern keyboards sounds & more original song structures... imo, this doen't sound new at all.... a bit as if like if Rick Wakeman (from Yes) did a "metal" album... so loads of cheesy keyboardsleads, choirs etc....

so what we have here is a decent debut album from a band who needs to improve his formula a bit... I'll give it 65/100 but i'm expecting next a more cinematic & orginal effort... I think they can do it...

I found the production on this album to be lacking. It doesn't have the same clear sound the demo had, too much noise. Perhaps they've used more layers in the same mix than they could seperate in the sound.
I do think this could grow into something really great, as the music and the melodies are very appealing and catchy. Too bad about the production, though.

And, what's all this Bal-Sagoth bashing? For shame!
