Probably my favourite DT album. A fair review and score, though I'd have it hitting 90 at least :P.

Have to agree, it's my favorite DT album next to Skydancer and The Mind's I. The Gallery is great too (if only for Lethe) but it just never clicked with me as much as others generally seem to look at it. Projector is just all-around great.

It's actually one of the albums I tend to recommend for those who start with death metal because of the high amount of clean vocals and the catchy melodies.

Defintely 90+ for me. Great review, but I must disagree, Auctioned is an amazing song, really fun to play too. Also UnDo Control and Therein are the shit.

Great album. Very nice change of pace from their other material. I love 'Auctioned'.

85/100

Probably the most underrated DT album, we got to hear Stanne's excelent clean voice and it was a good step in a different direction.

... nowadays they seem like a band doing covers of their own songs.

I wouldn't say that... They're definately a step up from their former brother band for sure.

Well... I absolutely love Damage Done (The Treason Wall! :dio: ) and also Character but Fiction seemed like a rushed effort for me... I just didn't find so much to grab me and not let go like all the other DT albums... and I myself find Fiction to be a bit of a melting pot from their past albums.. I'm not asking for Character 2 but I hope the next one sounds more... adventurous? Yeah.

The Mundane and the Magic, Icipher, Nothing to No One and The Lesser Faith do not get made by rushing.

Well... I'll give you the Mundane and the Magic... and Nothing to No One, too... those are great... although if you ask me, Mundane and the Magic could have been on Projector easily, as could Misery's Crown... Nothing to No One would have been at home on Character... besides that, the single (Focus Shift) just comes as boring... the only one that sounds different is Inside the Particle Storm, for its atmospheric goodness.. I hope they would kind of do something else like that..

But other than that, as I said, Fiction just feels like a melting pot of the previous albums for me... but that's just my opinion, for what little it's worth. :P

I always like this one because of the variety and some of the very uplifting riffs.
