Great album- great production, great setlist, very energetic, all that I could want from a Gamma Ray live album. Two thumbs up.

Before picking this up on a whim I have to say I wasn't a huge Gamma Ray fan. I own and enjoy Majestic, but casually checking out their back catalogue, there just wasn't much that grabbed me. This live CD totally changed that. A great, powerful, energetic and just plain fun ride through gloriously classic metal goodness. I know Kai created a lot of what we think of as modern Euro power, but what comes through is just how much he (and the band) loves what he does and how he much loves all his influences from Accept to Maiden to Priest to you-name-it. Also, while Kai has a unique voice, I never thought of him as a really 1st class singer, but I have to say he pulls off an excellent live performance here. I expected the truly stellar guitar work from Kai and Henjo, but Kai's vocals were one of the biggest pleasant surprises for me on this album.

Makes me really regret missing them when they came through MA recently. I hopefully will get a chance to rectify that before too long. I am definitely going back for the DVD.

You gotta love Gamma Ray...at least I do. True they may be cheesy, and occasionaly gay and dumb, but Kai Hansen always has a smile on his face when he's playin his guitar so I truly believe he enjoys what he's doing, and makes everyone else enjoy it too. Plus Gamma Ray is basically just Walls of Jericho Helloween.
