i can't stand their singers. i've been trying to like them for a couple years and always try one of their albums out every now has an awesome chorus but i hate the vocals so much. "Bland Street Bloom" has an awesome chorus that gets me all excited about the album, but by the third or fourth song i'm thinking "oh god this is only the third or fourth song." i guess for me there's way more troughs than peaks

I have the same feelings about this band, at least the first album. Didn't at all like the vocals. Really distracted me from the nuances of the technicality. I'd be listening for a while liking bits and pieces but never enough to make me want to keep listening. Plus they violated, raped and butchered a Nick Cave classic. But hey I'm in a really big DEP-loving phase so maybe I'll check this album out and maybe the first one again.

Yeah, the vokillz are likely to be the big sticking point for most... me included, tbh.

I just listened to the album reviewed and didn't get past the second song due to the atrocious vocals. The first tracks clean vocals annoyed me and the second tracks squeal sounding vocals completely turned me off.

If you can manage not to be massive pussys, and listen to it for more than five minutes you do get used to the vocals. Considering how godawful a lot of 'core bands these days are in the vocal department, Sikth did pretty well...

Agreed, this is first rate progressive fusioncore (if I may give it that unsual label)!

Sikth is a band you should crave for they were unique, versatile and are still missed today.

Sure, the vocals are an acquired taste and some might find them distasteful and a tad corny but it's not that hard to get used to and the music's awesome enought that you make the effort.

nah Sikth's vocals are pretty bad even compared to other metalcore bands. there two guys are like Circle Takes the Square (aka "the Cryptopsy of screamo vocals") but without the overwhelming emotion.

I think the vocals are awesome. They sounded terrible at first but I love them now. The dynamics are amazing.

This album is awesome. Sikth were a unique band and they will be missed.
