A great and unique band right here. I like how they don't take things that much seriously. I loled when I hear they were called Lifelover, thinking this could never be good, but I was blown away by Erotik.

Just out of curiosity, since both neither one of you speak Swedish, why do you think that they don't take themselves seriously?

(Not saying they do, I'm just curious what you both are basing it on)

Naturally, I think this album is great.

Well, Lifelover is an odd name choice for a band that's as misanthropic and depressing as this. The fairground music, the child noises, the poppy feeling of some songs makes me feel that they are letting their crazy and drugged brains free and dark humor comes with it naturally.

I'd agree that there's a tongue-in-cheekness about it. Why, what are the lyrics actually about?

Some of the lyrics on "Konkurs" is in English, check M-A for more info.

Some of the lyrics are very strange

Lifelover - Brand wrote:

English:
I am the ashes in your overfilled ashtray
I am the forgotten minced meat, in the back of the freezer
I am the leftovers of fat on your pizza plate
I am the hair stuck in your sink

You, me and my arsenal of weapons
You seem to have accepted your fate
The stench of urin hits me
Coward litte shit, if you play with matches
a fire might start

You tell me.

I can ask (H) about the lyrics more when I am in Sweden next weekend.

Oh, and funny that this is reviewed now. I was about to send you
a little family package Zad with this in it. But now you'll only be
getting the new Canopy and probably the latest Obitus.

Hahah, the irony is that I told James about it. But :dio: for the Canopy, looking forwards.
