the singer is a raven-haired temptress

I remember sitting next to her at Bloodstock festival a few years ago. Didn't say anything to her though... :lame:

Nice to see some Edenbridge here. Love the new album, the real orchestra gives so much more to it. Sabine's voice is a love or hate for many I know... some love her tone, others say she sounds monotone. This one is much heavier than previous ones (just take Shadowplay as reference). My favorite of the band remains Aphelion (the duet with DC Cooper is out of this world) with The Grand Design closely behind.

On a side note, the limited edition has an instrumental bonus piece, a symphonic suite for guitar and orchestra, which showcases Lanvall's amazing composing skills. No matter if you like the style or not, Lanvall is just one hell of a player/composer.

The singer looks like a girl I used to go to school with! Not the same lady, alas. Listening to this album now, not bad at all, the symphonic elements are great, the riffs are nice and heavy but could be a bit more varied. Not sure if I love her voice yet, can see why people would call it monotonous, but it's growing on me. Reminds me of some famous lady singer, not sure who yet... not Kate Bush, not Lisa Gerrard...

I was really surprised when I heard this CD. I, like some people, had become rather bored with Edenbridge's approach. Their writing style, arrangement, and Sabine's vocals were becoming stale and predictable. I'm not saying that Edenbridge is lighting the world on fire with My Earth Dream but I think it's a really strong CD for them and a good progression as a band. My Earth Dream kind of represents what I always thought Edenbridge was capable of. If that makes any sense?

Didn't like this album from Edenbridge, I thought it was their weakest effort to date. Like Raven said, stale...
