Never heard the genre "Spoken Word" :P . I'm gonna listen the album to form my own opinion, but everyone seems to agree that this is a shitty album.

I definitely see what you mean and why you did not like it, but I found it very refreshing and captivating. It's pretty darn disturbing!

Spoken Word is a genre, just don't get many Metal albums where the focus is on the spoken lyrics, or in this case, story, rather than the music. And yes, quite a shame.

As I said in the review, this is nothing compared to the first two albums. I assume you've heard them?

Fo zhizzle. They are better, but I'm not dissapointed with what they have do here. The big question is, where can they go from here?

I don't know how anyone could take those lyrics, or whatever they are, seriously...my god. I should probably check out their earlier stuff though.

Well, I enjoyed Urfe... I guess you just need to be in a certain mood or state of mind to "get it". For most, it just seems to click or it doesn't. For me, it did. Sure, it's nowhere as disturbing as Deleted Scenes... but it's different and kudos to TAOP for not repeating themselves and doing what they wanted to do.

Exactly. Mood and setting is very vital for an album like this.

Unbelievable, as I only recently read the Odinist review and these guys were being offered as a much better alternative to Blut Aus Nord.

At the time of writing that, they were. Now the two have changed places...

As a fan of both bands I'm kind of bored of this constant comparison. Now that BAN's ambient period is over and TaoP have gone batshit insane as I had guessed, I guess it will be over.

I'll still listen to this one because these mad Brits have released some of the most terrifying stuff ever, but Zad is usually right about these things.

If this had offered some form of progression, I'd probably like it. A DSFtTH clone with an annoying narrative is DO NOT WANT in my book.

I'll still give AoP a second chance, of course... but as of now, BaN is the superior band.

BAN is incredible, I love their ambient stuff like MoRt and Odinist, very atmospheric IMO. Still have to hear their new album though.
