Clutch are coming to Leeds on thursday, and Destruction I think the week after.... sometime in December anyway.

Not too bothered about seeing Clutch but would definitely be up for seeing Destruction. :dio:

Yesterday Riverside in Amsterdam, again great show from our Polish friends.
Lazulli from France was the opening act of the evening, a 6 piece band with instruments you don´t see every day. Afterwards i bought their latest album, really good stuff. They sing in French, so I have no idea what the lyrics are about

Destruction were really good last night. DEVOLUTION sounded great, so did some of the old classics, esp. Mad Butcher.

Debauchery were ok; playing slow groovy death metal like a slowed down Decapitated... reminded me of Gorelord 666 (good band, btw). The crowd really couldn't be arsed during their set, though. They also lost points for delivering this classic line of stage banter.

Quote:
This next ones dedicated to all the ladies in the audience. It's called CUNT! KILLLLEERRRRRR!

:lame:

There was one particularly benighted individual moshing on his own at the front, who kept shouting for "Angel of Death" in between every song. Hmm buddy if this was the type of band that was likely to break into that song, the venue would be busier, because they would be Slayer, rather than Debauchery.

That quote is right out of the Cannibal Corpse live album where Corpsegrinder says that before 'Addicted to Vaginal Skiiiiinnnnnn".

Napalm Death two weeks ago. Classy as ever. They played a couple of songs from the new album, kickass. In the words of Barney: "As you can see, a softer direction. Not!"

Sodom and Grave Digger on Saturday, then Kreator on Monday. Kreator were really on fire, I had seen them 3 times before, but this time they simply destroyed.

I saw MyChildren MyBride/ The Human Abstract/ Protest the Hero/ As I Lay Dying on Saturday.

MCMB - Wow. Gay. Generic riff, generic breakdown, repeat. The vocalist even said, "Let's get krunk." Umm, yeah.

The Human Abstract - These guys put on a pretty good show. I had to catch the singer on three different occasions as he kept jumping right on top of me, but whatever. After MCMB I would have appreciated anything, but it these guys were pretty decent in there own right.

Protest the Hero - :dio: Amazing. Rody was great live and it was just crazy awesome. There were technical difficulties before there set so they had to cut it short. I was devastated. The 5-6 songs they did play were spot on though. They definitely need to do their own headlining tour.

As I Lay Dying - To be honest I had never really given these guys much of a listen, but damn if they weren't really good. I have since gotten their newest album and it kicks ass. I wish I had known more of the songs when I was there. Definitely want to see them again.

Hate. For whoever doesn't know them, these guys sound like some bastards sons of Behemoth, with a touch of Vader. But not as savage as Behemoth. Pretty good though and pretty good live as well.

It turns out that Megadeth, Testament and Judas Priest were in town a few nights back, and my mother's friend went, and she had a spare ticket.

Thrash and a date with your mom's friend. What a loss.

So Gwar and Cattle Decapitation are coming to town. I'm so excited which is sad considering it is just gwar.

I've seen the Haunted and got injured by a stagediver landing on my head. I couldn't lift my arms afterwards... it was freaky.

You got to be fucking kidding me... I didn't get tickets for that show for fuck's sake. Lets hope I can score an interview with Mr. Akerfeldt then.
