Um, you can mosh to like any darkthrone

Also, black metal gigs have fire breathing, pig's heads on pikes, blood, barbed wire and corpse paint. What does thrash have?

It's as if people can't read. Don't turn this into a thrash vs. black comparison. They're as different as blues and groove metal. They each have their place; black metal in the bedroom during love making sessions with your woman (or man to those who are inclined as gaahl is) and thrash metal is for in the parking lot. Get over it.

Oh and the order of best Emperor albums is:

Nightside>Anthems>IX>Prometheus.

I simply enjoy IX much more. My Asia idea got ignored.

Yeah, that's elitism... Bad production spoils good music. Period.

Ihsahn's vocals are awful on the last two albums. Anthems is still pretty buzzy, FTR.

Well to clarify I just don't think Ihsahn is that great a singer, plus I think a fuzzy production in BM improves the atmosphere. Good productions in BM can all too easily come off as cold.

Isn't BM supposed to be cold?

No I mean cold as in an album without feeling. Dammit I might give Anthems another go...... never liked it when I've listened to it in the past.

I don't know how people can't like it. That intro's the best one ever recorded by any band, anywhere.

You can't think of one, can you? :P Seriously, maybe Alsbartr (The Oath) isn't TEH BEST INTRO EVAR EVAR EVAR but it is pretty damn good and better than most BM's lame keyboard lameness.

Ok, just three from the top of my head:

- Black Sabbath's Black Sabbath, rain, thunder and bell, awesome! :dio:
- Judas Priest's Screaming for Vengeance, The Hellion baby! :dio:
- Metallica's Ride the Lightning, love the sweet music before the ultraviolence (that's how we took it back then) kicks in. :dio:

Who the fuck cares about epic, who the fuck says only epic intros are good? C'mon Goatie, now you're just not making sense and let your own judgment interfere with the fact that people can have different tastes than yours...
I'd take those three intros over any epic intro anytime!

It's Emperor, the very last word in epic Black Metal! I never said that only epic intros are good...

You said it was the best intro ever though.
