I must say I'm surprised, Zad. You summed up my feelings pretty much perfectly about this album. I honestly didn't think it's the kind of stuff you or anyone here would really enjoy. Either way, it is a great album and Marjan is indeed a very welcome change in the band. It's definitely what makes Altitude so much better than My New Time.

Haha, well, I'm the guy who reviewed Muse and Foo Fighters here, and who namechecks Kate Bush and Lisa Gerrard in reviews! Been doing a lot of BM lately, but I do enjoy a good bit of Goth Metal, especially this sort, the proggy elements really make it, and Marjan injects some real passion where the last singer just made them like every average GothMetallers out there, although admittedly I haven't heard their early stuff.

I haven't heard Summer's End but their debut (When Lust Evokes the Curse) reminds me a lot of Within Temptation's Enter, without the doomy atmosphere. You know, typical "beauty and the beast" fare... except, Nienke doesn't have nearly anywhere as much voice as Sharon (Den Adel, WT) has, IMO.
