Allright... Not real emo music...

The first emo wave has nothing to do with the style nowadays. I'm speaking of stuff like JR Ewing, and other older hardcore bands.

I actually prefer good metalcore (Threat Signal, Unearth, Lamb of God, All That Remains, etc) over grunge any day. Right now on my ipod I've got The Agony Scene, All That Remains, Despised Icon, Five Finger Death Punch, Legion of the Damned, Silent Civilian, Soilwork (latest album), Trivium and Unearth.

No, bands like this, Chimaira similar bands I like, I just hate the really generic ones or the ones with the emo vocals in them like Caliban and Bullet for my Valentine.

I feel like the new Abigail Williams album is what CoF should be doing.

Really? I've listened to some songs on youtube and amazon and for my taste it's too supercharged (i hope it's the right word  ) with keyboards and synths, while COF are using the symphonic part a little bit more unobtrusively and they are concentrating more on the guitars and song structures.

If so, it'd be the first time they've ever done that.

I think the last time, COF used really much (and sometimes too much) symphonic elements was on Damnation and a Day. Nymphetamine and Thornography had very less keyboards and electronic sounds. On Godspeed, the symphonic part is back in town, but IMO not so dominant like on earlier days. It's sure there, but compared to the jingle I've heard on AW or some Dimmu Borgir songs, it's IMO more unobtrusive.

Hmm... This is actually pretty enjoyable... Picked it up after long consideration.
