Yeah, I definitely like the review too. The album... ehh.. I need a few more spins maybe. It's a really odd album at times. The vocals, namely. But some parts I definitely like. I think it's the only album I know with acoustic stuff that really rocks, haha.

As you said, it's a weird album.
This is the first time I hear something like this! Maybe after a few listens, it may change my perception.

Do you know if their other albums sound different?

Well, their other albums are electric black metal. There's some reviews on this site, although I'm new to them myself as well.

This is a one-off, though. They usually don't sound like this. If you want the "real" Ajattara that sounds good, go for their debut (Itse) or the follow-up (Kuolema). The other two don't really appeal to me, honestly. With Itse and Kuolema, you can expect some mid-tempo, quite dark sound black metal with a few clean bits. Don't expect speed or blasting though. Still, those two albums are very good if you want to hear how good this band can sound.
