Even though I liked Kvass, I think this one is a little above it. Heimgang is indeed meant to be absorbed as a whole, not just with one song. I'm so glad this band is back around. Their first two were awesome before they went on hiatus and they've been releasing great stuff since they came back, too.

Alex, I know you're not a native English speaker, and neither am I, but this review seems to be a step back in linguistic skill. Don't get me wrong, it was a good read and got me interested in this album (in fact, I've been holding off on Kampfar until now) but the abundance of commas and awkward syntaxes makes for a challenging read.

Now, this is embarrassing. Yes, I am not a native speaker, but I would not ever have it as an excuse. Besides, the guys who work for me rely on my communication skills daily, so they would be mighty disappointed the boss could not hold his own. It could be I wrote it while tired, it could be I was distracted, but none of it really matters, if you think I could not express myself clearly. Maybe I have written a few too many reviews and the writing is on the wall that my time is up ...

It's not that bad - a couple too many commas, but still perfectly readable.

Hey Alex, don't let that beat you up like that. I for one really enjoy your reviews so don't think that way just for a review with a few too many commas and odd sentences, especially if you're not a native speaker. There's many out there for whom English is their native tongue and they can't even use it properly, so chin up and most importantly, keep writing!

Your writing wasn't bad enough to beat yourself up over.

The reason I was upset - I truly "felt" this album, and wanted to write on the "feel" level as well, rather than be all analytical about it. At least if this was a "step back", there was something to step back from. It seems that the time I have been devoting to the hobby of review writing as of late is getting squeezed.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with what you expressed in the review, just the grammatical aspect of it, the abundance of commas, was a bit of a hindrance. Don't feel too bad about it, you're still my favourite reviewer.

I'm having trouble tracking down this album. Has it been released?

Yes, last year by Napalm records. It has also been licensed by Scarecrow, if you can get something from the people dealing in Mexico.

Liked this one it's a good album, as for reviews I find a short break doesn't hurt every now again, especailly if you have been writing a lot.
