You have done this album justice Charles, good job. I'm glad that this great bands great new release got reviewed here so quickly.

I never stopped listening to Salvation. To me, that album is the pinnacle of the genre. This album does not come close to it, but it would be bad if they tried to make this a pt.2. This album sounds more like the new Marduk albums, after Arioch became their vocalist. Makes sense, I guess. Arioch is still the best vocalist in black metal, his variety is and intensity is unmatched. The use of samples is almost always cheesy in most records, but these guys find exactly the right ones to go with the music and they raise the intensity of the album. If the female choir thing at the end of Anti-Flesh Nimbus doesn't send chills down your spine you're dead inside.

My favorite song here is probably Jesus Saves!. When he bursts out screaming Jesus Saves at 3:53 I thought Satan came into the room and said sup dawg.

Amazing album. Don't be a fag, listen to it.

So I checked this out today and love the choir-y bits. Had the EP kicking around for ages but never listened to Salvation for some reason, will have to get all up in that shit and tap it, serious-wise.

An absolutely amazing album and a worthy follow-up on Salvation. Through all the efforts of this band they (he) have maintained an almost playful enthusiasm that really spills through to the listener. Combine that with the powerful vocal delivery and great riffs and ideas and you've got a killer album. The sound have changed a bit and seems more 'mature' (in need of a better word) but the core of the music is unaltered and as potent and evil as ever. Listening to White Stone as the intro to Jesus Saves! (which it blends into) and not as a separate track really makes it ten times more relevant and enhances the feeling of both tracks.

I had feared that they would either make a Salvation pt. II or succumb to the more general 'NoEvDia style', but both these fears were unfounded. A great album from a great band.

I never heard Salvation, but this one has instantly turned me into a fan. My number one black album for 2009 for sure. Brilliant work. Great review btw.
