Speaking of Anselmo, Down sucked pretty bad supporting Metallica.

My thought is, if you've gained a reputation as both a goofball and a good band or musician, that tactic is kind of funny. For a band trying to make a name for themselves (like Horse the Band), that just strikes me as a really dumb move.

True. But still, who says they were serious? And why get so annoyed over what a band that names themselves HORSE The Band calls you? Everyone just chill...

bands who make fun of the crowd are great. and between the nintendo keyboards and the name Horse the Band i think that creates enough of a goofball reputation

Er, no. It was a Cannibal Corpse concert. Which was yet another flaw, why the fuck is crap like Horse the Band opening for Cannnibal Corpse anyways. One of these things is not like the other.

Best show opening, like, ever.

I grew really tired of the hardcore scene in HS, it was pretty much what all the kids I hung out with were into, and I really don't like straight out hardcore. Metalcore works for me, but just that shit like Zao drives me pretty nuts.

In my experience, it was a band called FTN (Fucking The Name). Stupid name which perfectly fits a stupid band. They were one of the opening bands for the Maiden concert a couple of years ago. For the first few minutes, the crowd stood still, not reacting, cos no one could figure out what these guys were trying. After that, screams of "Fuck You !" filled the air

come to think of it now all of the local hardcore/shows and deathcore shows I go to. They always just bob their heads to the opening band, I don't know the kids I go to shows wish just have a problem moving.

usually people just aren't too psyched about the opening band. when i saw Augury open for Dismember there was like me and one other guy up front getting into it and everyone else just stood back. then when Dismember came on everyone got in front of the stage and went crazy

Wow, I'd take Augury to Dismember any day tbh. Even though i really like Dismember.

The key part of what Adam said is that Devin is a good musician.

Augury would be so much more entertaining than Dismember. I've noticed myself usually liking opening bands much more than the main act. Case in point, Cynic opening up for Dragonforce.

Lauren Harris was only ok because she gave me a boner. But she was followed by the shit-eating emo screamo whatever-the-fuck-kids-are-into-these-days knobjockeys called Behind Crimson Eyes. I was in such a bad mood after that that I couldn't enjoy Aces High properly.

And then there was the unforgivable shitness of Bloodduster "supporting" Danzig. I use supporting loosely because they fucked up the show with their bullshit, incompetent excuse for music. "Oh, I'm so hardcore! Let's play one fucking note for our entire set and vomit on the microphone." I hope they get AIDS.

danzig was terrible during blackest of the black, I was sitting outside the Marquee theatre when he was doing his soundcheck for the show and he sounded like he was choking on a cock

He would have been bashed if he said something like that over here. Worst, probably the bouncers would do the job for us. By the way that band, Horse...what kind of name is that? They played here last year. Couldn't be bothered.

It would have to be a double threat of Unexpect and Lauren Harris one after the other. Thankfully we got to chant for Overkill midway through Lauren Harris though.

Well Trivium opening for Mqaiden was bad. I got on my mate's shoulders in the pit and just screamed shit at them, both hands flicking the middle finger.

"Oh no, M_B is being a narrow minded dick again"-I don't care. They are shite.

Also, I was in the pit anyways, pissed as fuck, and some grabs me and goes "don't!" I ask him why not and he says "because I'll hurt you"-a classic moment in my life. Fat prick, ahaha!

Trivium fucking suck.

newest Trivium > anything Iron Maiden has done. haven't seen either band live tho
