I'll get to it, but not next in line.

They're confirmed to play Download festival, so...Yes they do.

Well that I did not know. I was speaking more about the wider scene's recognition of our bands, but it's good to see the (other) Deth are going to make Download that bit less rubbish.

Sabbat is by far the best UK thrash band, ever. Onslaught comes second, but it's not close.

Good review Zadster, I find it funny how every time you review something thrash you have to remind us that you are not the biggest thrash fan in the world. Yeah yeah yeah, we get it.

I also quite like the little dig you make on Evile.

Haha, well, I am very selective in my Thrash tastes, and mentioning my dislike of the majority of it always seems as good a way to begin as any!

One of the best thrash albums ever, hell one of the best metal albums ever, everything about this album is excellent but OMG the riffs, the fucking riffs are out of this world the riffs alone make this album a 90 but when you add the cleverly written vocal lines of Martin Walkyier makes this a fucking CLASSIC and the fact that they were able to do it again on Dreamweaver makes Sabbat one of my top ten thrash bands.

Awesome! This album never gets old. It has this beautiful intensity about it which few other thrash albums can match- the opener, A Cautionary Tale, is one of the best thrash songs ever, and has great lyrics to boot. Horned is the Hunter, Hosanna in Excelsis and The Church Bizarre are also up there. And the vocals! Best death style vocals in thrash, bar none.

I would consider this one of the pioneer albums of extreme metal that led to bands like Cradle of Filth, Emperor and Dimmu Borgir. It was one of the first albums of its kind that I bought when it came out. Took a few listens but fell in love with it. The remastered version is excellent.

Martin Walkyier's lyrics on this album are perhaps the best thrash metal lyrics ever written. Martin's lyrics and then Keith Dean's lyrics on "Mind Wars" by Holy Terror. These two are the greatest thrash metal lyricists....and probably overal metal lyricists. Jon Arch is great as well. I should just limit this to thrash metal lyrics. Holy Terror and Sabbat are the best at thrash lyrics... ha ha. There.

I think Xentrix always get unfairly forgotten when it comes to UK thrash.

Shattered Existence was a great album, I still play it quite a bit. :dio:

EDIT: oh yeah, and good pick for a classic.

I think it's quite well regarded. Underexposed perhaps, but not underrated.
